Word of the Week: Ewer

A ewer is essentially an extra decorative pitcher. However, this is usually used as a vase instead of for pouring liquid. The spout is often flared, and the entire thing is a bit more ornamental. I usually picture them to have narrow, elongated necks, but this isn’t always the case.

Here’s a great example of a beautiful amethyst-colored ewer that has passed through our shop:
